Our Story
Three generations in the utility industry. One unwavering standard.
Roots in the Industry
The Norris family's connection to the utility industry stretches back to the 1930s, when Aaron's grandfather first entered the trade. In 1955, he founded Duncan Manufacturing and Equipment Co., building a reputation for honest dealing and dependable equipment that utility professionals across the Southeast could count on.
That foundation wasn't built on salesmanship alone. It was built on showing up, doing right by the customer, and standing behind every piece of equipment that left the lot. Those principles became the family's operating compass for decades to come.
Wayne Norris
Aaron's father dedicated 41 years to the utility equipment industry, carrying forward the values his father established. His integrity and work ethic set the standard that Norris Utilities® operates by today.
Ronnie Norris
Aaron's uncle Ronnie committed 45 years to the same industry, reinforcing the family's deep roots and genuine expertise. Together, Wayne and Ronnie gave a combined 86 years to serving utility professionals.
Duncan Manufacturing & Equipment Co.
The company Aaron's grandfather built from the ground up, establishing the Norris family name as synonymous with reliability in utility equipment across the Southeast.
Loss That Shaped a Purpose
Both Wayne and Ronnie Norris were taken by Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Losing the two men who defined what commitment to this industry looked like was devastating. But their legacy didn't end there. It became the foundation for something new.
Aaron carries their memory into every handshake, every phone call, and every piece of equipment he stands behind. The loss sharpened his purpose: honor the standard they set by building a company worthy of the Norris name.
"What would Dad do?"
— The operating compass of Norris Utilities®Norris Utilities® Today
In November 2021, Aaron C. Norris founded Norris Utilities®, LLC in Birmingham, Alabama. The mission was clear: bring the same integrity, product knowledge, and personal accountability that defined three generations of Norris family service into a modern utility equipment dealership.
Today, Norris Utilities® serves customers across more than 20 states, offering FlexPro Armor bucket covers handmade in the USA, Samson Rope as an authorized distributor, Skylift bucket trucks, and Bay Shore Systems drill rigs as the Southeast territory representative. Every product is selected with the same scrutiny Dad would have applied: Is it built right? Will it hold up? Can we stand behind it?
Norris Utilities® isn't just a business. It's the continuation of a family's promise to this industry — that when you work with us, you get a partner who treats your needs like his own, because that's how we were raised.
Our Team
The people behind Norris Utilities® bring the same dedication and personal accountability that has defined this family's work for three generations.
